1. Acceptance of Terms

By using RookRank (rookrank.com), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform. It's that simple.

2. What RookRank Is

RookRank is an AI product scoring and ranking platform. We use algorithmic signals and AI assessment to score AI products on quality, then rank them against competitors in their category. We provide leaderboards, product profiles, and ratings.

3. User Accounts

You can create an account using your email address or through Google/GitHub OAuth. You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your credentials. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately.

4. Your Content

When you submit ratings, reviews, or product information to RookRank:

• You keep ownership. Your reviews and ratings remain yours.
• You give us a licence to use them. By submitting content, you grant RookRank a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and use your content on the platform and in connection with the service.
• Be honest. You must not submit fraudulent, misleading, or spam content. Fake reviews, inflated ratings, or deceptive product descriptions will be removed and may result in account termination.

5. Product Listings

• Products may be listed by anyone — the creator or a third party.
• Creators can claim their listing for free to manage it and respond to reviews.
• RookRank reserves the right to remove any listing at any time, for any reason.
• Scores are generated algorithmically using a combination of AI assessment and real-world signals. A score does not guarantee product quality, reliability, or fitness for any purpose.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Spam the platform with fake submissions, reviews, or ratings
• Attempt to manipulate scores or rankings through artificial means
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Use automated tools to scrape data or overwhelm the service
• Impersonate another person or product creator
• Circumvent any security measures or access controls

7. Payments

RookRank is currently free. If we introduce paid features in the future, payments will be processed through a third-party provider. We will never store your payment card details. All sales would be final unless otherwise required by Australian consumer law.

8. Disclaimers

• Scores are provided as-is. They are not financial advice, investment advice, or a guarantee of product quality.
• We don't guarantee accuracy. While we strive for fair and accurate scoring, algorithmic assessments have limitations. Use scores as one signal among many.
• Third-party products. Products listed on RookRank are third-party products. Listing a product does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee by RookRank.
• Verified badge. The verified badge indicates that a product has been identified as an established, recognised company or service. It does not constitute an endorsement, warranty, or guarantee of quality, safety, or reliability. RookRank is not responsible for the products, services, or content provided by verified or unverified listings. Users interact with all listed products at their own risk and should perform their own due diligence before using, purchasing, or relying on any product listed on this platform.
• Unverified listings. Products without a verified badge have not been independently confirmed as established companies. While we employ automated scanning and community reporting to detect fraudulent or misleading listings, RookRank cannot guarantee the legitimacy of every product. Users are solely responsible for evaluating the trustworthiness of any product they discover through this platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RookRank and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to the platform or its users. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of RookRank after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.
